Support and information after a major incident

Following a major incident, such as a terrorist attack or large-scale natural disaster, it is often difficult to know who to turn to and where to go to for information. In the event of a major incident, The pages on Directgov will be regularly updated to give information about the incident, including who to contact for immediate help and support.

The information provides longer-term help and support for those who have been affected by a major incident and for those who have concerns about friends or relatives. The information does not replace that already provided by existing support services, but points you to organisations that can help.
